Camera Obscura at Royal Observatory in Greenwich

The entrance of the Royal Observatory

The entrance of the Camera Obscura

Inside the Camera Obscura, the room is very dark. This is the table onto which the image is projected.

It takes time for the eyes to get aclimatised to the darkness of the room, but once they do, the image on the table starts to appear.

This is the hole where the lens and miror are located in the ceiling.

This is the view from the top of the Observatory.
