Paper - The get out clause

AN unsigned band gained global coverage of their debut video after claiming it was made by standing in front of Manchester's CCTV cameras. Salford act The Get Out Clause said they had performed in front of 80 CCTV cameras across Manchester and then used Freedom of Information laws to request the footage. They claimed that the clips of CCTV film were then edited together for the video for their song `Paper' - saving thousands and winning an army of fresh admirers. News of the ingenious video shoot was broadcast on Sky News and the Internet, gaining the band the sort of media attention an unknown band can only dream of. Band members including front man Jamie Hancock, guitarist Tony Churnside and drummer James Thompson told Sky News: "We wanted to produce something that looked good and that wasn't too expensive to do. "We hit upon the idea of going into Manchester and setting up in front of cameras we knew would be filming and then requesting that footage under the Freedom Of Information Act.
